It was a joyous occasion for Tissot as it jointly celebrated 160 years of innovative watchmaking and the opening of its fourth boutique in Singapore. President of Tissot, Francois Thiebaud, country manager for Swatch Group Southeast Asia David Ponzo, and vice president for Tissot Southeast Asia Suzanti Yeo were joined with more than 100 special guests to commemorate the event. Over 60 iconic timepieces including new collections and landmark pieces were flown in specially for the exhibition, Tissot 160th Anniversary. Among them, the Tissot IDEA 2001 which is made from plastic, the Tissot Navigator which was the first timepiece with 24 time zones, and the brand’s latest breakthrough movement, the Powermatic 80, were major talking points.
