JEFF BRIDGES’ LA DOLCE VITA

Reminiscent of the medieval hilltop villages of Central Italy, this Tuscan- style property in Montecito, CA, oozes grace and elegance and boasts stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. Owned by Oscar-winning actor Jeff Bridges and his wife Susan Bridges, the estate is up for sale for USD 18.5 million and comprises of a 9,535 square foot main residence, a one-bedroom guest cottage, a two- bedroom caretaker’s cottage, and a swimming pool, all set on a 19.5-acre lot.

Featuring a total of six bedrooms and six and a half baths, some property highlights include a private tower study that opens onto a rooftop terrace with panoramic views, a music studio and a home theatre. The beautifully designed gardens are also a standout feature, with oaks and Italian Cypress trees, walking paths, a sculpted fountain and a fruit orchard, further enhancing the home’s exquisite Old-World charm.

LI BINGBING’S HOLLYWOOD DREAM

One of Asia’s best-known leading actresses, Li Bingbing made her English-language film debut in “Snow Flower and the Secret Fan”, followed by roles in blockbusters such as “Resident Evil: Retribution” and “Transformers: Age of Extinction”, which brought her to Hollywood. Following her upcoming portrayal as the first Chinese female superhero in Stan Lee’s film “Realm of the Tigers”, the star has recently sold her movie-star-worthy residence near Bel Air for USD 2.75 million through Sonny Saito of Hilton & Hyland Christie’s. Located near the MoungtainGate Golf Course, this 5,834 square foot French-style property features five bedrooms and seven bathrooms, a spacious 1,800 square foot basement with a sauna and home gym, and an expansive deck boasting stunning views of the downtown Los Angeles city skyline. The property’s many windows allow natural light into the home, and a beautiful circular entryway and staircase lends a relaxed, yet luxurious atmosphere to the place.

FRANK SINATRA’S HERITAGE HEAVEN

Rising 4,300 feet above sea level, Villa Maggio sits in the San Jacinto Mountains overlooking Coachella Valley, Palm desert and Palm Springs, a secluded exclusivity accentuated by an accessibility only through gated mountain roads or by helicopter. Named after Sinatra’s Oscar Award- winning role as Private Angelo Maggio in “From Here to Eternity”, this sprawling chalet-style retreat was custom-designed in 1967 by the famous crooner himself, in collaboration with architect Ross Patton. Completed in 1970, the complex comprises seven and a half acres and three residences: a main house, guesthouse and a pool house, boasting a total of seven bedrooms and 12 bathrooms across 6,428 square feet of space.

Now on the market for USD 3.9 million, the property was intended as Sinatra’s haven away from Hollywood, though it also served as an entertainment venue for some of the industry’s biggest stars. In particular, fellow members of the Rat Pack were hosted as frequent guests. With luxurious amenities like a private helipad, parking space for 24 cars, swimming pool and fire pit, and an outdoor dance floor, the property is certainly a party-perfect piece of Hollywood history.

LIL WAYNE’S MIAMI JEWEL

Grammy Award-winning rapper Lil Wayne has recently lowered the price of his Miami beachfront home from USD 18 million to USD 12 million. Situated on the exclusive La Gorce Island, this palatial 15,101 square foot property features nine bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, a two-bedroom guesthouse complete with kitchen, living room and patio, sky terraces, and a glass elevator that provides access to all three levels.

Not one to shy away from indulgence, the best-selling artist has lavished his ultra-modern residence with a rooftop skate park, an outdoor pool overlooking the canal, a private dock on the property’s 120 feet of water frontage, and even a shark lagoon! Potential buyers and their families need not worry though, for the lagoon houses nurse sharks that are generally harmless to humans. Interesting and no doubt unique, the home is certainly a draw for families and entertaining.
