The device is thinner than the previous champions, the Kazam Tornado 348 and Gionee Elife S5.1, both with a thickness of 5.15mm. The new record holder will go on sale in december for just under $500.

Owing to its extraordinary slimness, the Oppo R5 doesn’t even have room for a standard headphones port. Users can still listen to music by using a Bluetooth headset or the USB adapter that comes with the device.
Behind its 5.5-inch AMOLED Full HD screen, the Oppo R5 packs an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, 16GB of storage and 2GB of RAM. The device is 4G compatible and runs Android KitKat. Its 13MP photo and video camera is capable of filming in 4K.
